True Terpenes
True Terpenes, a manufacturer of flavorings used in a variety of food and lifestyle products, decided to consolidate its manufacturing and administrative functions in a building in Hillsboro, Oregon. LAE designed extensive alterations to the building including a reconfigured front office area, approximately 4500 SF of ISO 9 production cleanroom, and employee support spaces. The facility is intended to be a showcase; the company plans to give tours to customers and visitors to show off its sophisticated manufacturing process.
The offices were opened up at the mezzanine level to allow additional daylighting into the large central arena area. Ceiling clouds in a random pattern add visual interest to the arena. Several conference rooms will have direct views into the cleanrooms.
