We love to work with the entire design team to put the puzzle pieces together into the best solution for the client. Design is an art as well as a science, and we strive to turn a clear vision into a completed project. livermore-aes-national-coverageAlthough located in the heart of Portland, Oregon, LAE possesses licensure in jurisdictions across the country and is well-versed when it comes to designing from afar. Because of an aging galvanized plumbing system in the 26 story Grant Tower and 18 story Lincoln Tower buildings, the American Plaza Towers Homeowners Association decided to replace the entire cold water supply systems. LAE documented the layout and finishes of all areas affected by this extensive work, identified potential routing of new plumbing, and developed construction drawings and details for concealing the plumbing while maintaining the modern character of the existing buildings.

We successfully prepared Type 2 Design Review applications with the City of Portland as part of the permitting services for the project.

[rev_slider Haba] Livermore Architecture & Engineering worked closely with Haba Labs to design the interior for its retail location in an existing building near Pioneer Courthouse Square in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Multiple schemes were developed in 3D and rendered for client review and approval. Livermore A&E provided all of the necessary interior architecture and permitting assistance services over the course of the project.

[rev_slider Heidi] When Heidi Lovig of Heidi Ho Organics pitched her vegan “cheeze” product on the television show Shark Tank late in 2014, Lovig knew a significant expansion in their production capacity was on the horizon. In fact after the Shark Tank episode aired, “We sold more product in the last two months of 2014 than we had the entire first ten months of 2014,” said Lovig. Heidi Ho Organics, started in 2011, offers a range of plant-based vegan cheese alternatives that are made from sustainably sourced ingredients. Heidi successfully gained investor funding through Shark Tank, and has used this platform to take her product national and leased a property for manufacturing in NE Portland. In order to meet this increasing demand, Heidi Ho Organics selected Livermore A&E to design and coordinate permitting of a tenant improvement project to build out new manufacturing space for Heidi Ho. This new space, located in NE Portland, includes a test kitchen, production areas, refrigerators, packaging and shipping. With investor expectations and consumer demand riding high, time was of the essence. Livermore A&E developed the design, coordinated permitting with the City of Portland, and helped oversee the complete build-out in just under three months.

[rev_slider Ajinomoto] Livermore Architecture & Engineering provided design services and permit assistance for the expansion of Ajinomoto Frozen Foods USA North American headquarters in Portland. Livermore addressed the challenges of this office expansion by developing a series of 3D models that proposed a variety of potential schemes for expanding Ajinomoto’s office holdings, each responding to both the existing building to the east and the open landscaped environment to the west. Overall, 10,000SF of office space was designed including support services and an expansive second-story balcony that connects the building to its broader property.  Services included architecture, structural engineering, code review with the City of Portland, design coordination with the Port of Portland and construction administration.
