Livermore Architecture & Engineering is thrilled to announce that the R+L Carriers Arlington Terminal project is entering the construction phase. Coast Construction Group of Arlington, Washington was selected as the General Contractor for the project; we look forward to working with them to bring the design to reality.

The new facility includes a 40,000 SF, 60-door terminal, 5,000 SF office, 9,500 SF maintenance building, and a fueling station. LAE adapted R+L’s standard branding and building design to meet the specific requirements of the local jurisdiction for aesthetics, siting of parking areas, and building orientation. Approvals were received for Design Review and a Special Use Permit.

The buildings have a pre-engineered metal structural frame; exterior materials include EIFS and metal siding. Pits were designed in the maintenance buidling to allow for servicing of the vehicles. Special care was taken to ensure that the site has adequate and safe vehicle maneuvering areas.
