Fire Destroys Our Office at the Macadam Center; New Office at Crown Plaza
On January 28, 2018, the building where our office was located, the Macadam Center, was completely destroyed in a fire. We have not been able to go into the building, and from the exterior it appears that the floor and roof in the area of our office space collapsed. Everything that was in our office was unrecoverable. The fire happened after hours and there were no injuries. It was an unexpected blow and took us completely by surprise. There were many other businesses in the building that have been displaced.
Fortunately, all of our electronic data was backed up to an off-site location and is safe, and we did not lose any of our work. After about a week of diligent work by our I.T. consultants, setting up new computers and a server, we were back in business. We are happy to report that we are back up to full production capacity.
We truly appreciate the incredible offers of help and support that we received from so many of you. It means so much to us to know that there are so many generous people and companies in our industry willing to lend us a hand. Thank you so much.
While the fire was a major disruption for us, we are happy to announce that we have moved into a new office space at the Crown Plaza Building in downtown Portland, Oregon. The space was move-in ready but we will be customizing it in the coming months. We look forward to showing it off – feel free to stop by! Our new address is 1500 SW 1st Avenue, Suite 240, Portland, Oregon 97201.
